What I do
Most jobs that a garage does on a lift, I can do on your driveway. If a job genuinely needs a workshop — a gearbox out, an alignment rig, a weld — I'll tell you straight rather than take the booking and waste your morning.
Parts are quoted separately and always agreed with you before I order anything. Nothing gets fitted that you haven't said yes to.
How a visit works

You tell me the car and the symptom
Make, model, year, and what it's actually doing — the noise, the light, the when. A photo of the dashboard or a ten-second video of the noise saves a lot of guessing.

I give you a time and a rough figure
Not a final price — nobody honest quotes a repair blind. But you'll know the call-out, the likely parts and roughly what the job runs to before I set off.

I come to the car
Driveway, work car park, roadside. I need the car to be accessible and, for anything under it, a reasonably flat surface. I bring my own power and light.

You get the diagnosis in plain English
What's wrong, what it'll cost, what can wait. You decide. If it's not worth fixing, I'll say so — I'd rather you trusted me than booked me twice.

Job done, old parts left with you
I show you what came off. Anything I can't finish on the drive — a seized bolt, a part that needs ordering — I'll tell you there and then, not after.
